Norinco SKS   93   7.62x39   China

Matching numbers with Tapco stock T6. Takes AK mags. Has neutered Bayo.

Nope, it's a "93" SKS just like it says on the receiver.

John Galt

Sounds like it is a 93!  Originally imported with a thumbhole stock.
When the Cambrian measures were forming, They promised perpetual peace.
They swore, if we gave them our weapons, that the wars of the tribes would cease.
But when we disarmed They sold us and delivered us bound to our foe,
And the Gods of the Copybook Headings said: "Stick to the Devil you know."

Definitely a 93, B-West was the only importer that XXX has noted on these:

You might get with XXX and get him your gun's information & some photos too.  It appears that your S/N may be the lowest on record.  thumb1

1776 will commence again if you try to take our firearms... It doesn't matter how many Lenins you get out on the street begging for them to be taken.

I've got some wooden stocks. Not sure if I have matching front grips though. I'll trade with you. I even have a black thumb hole stock as JG stated was original to these.

93's had a thumbhole stock that resembles a traditional stock at the foregrip (unlike the blocky front on the 63 and sporter) and does not have the black enhanced grip at the pistol grip like the sporter.  They are quite sharp!  See: http://chinesesks.weebly.com/93.html

Of all the AK mag conversion thumbhole stocks, I think the 93 has the best in ergonomic design. If I had to choose one to keep from the Sporter, the 63, the NR, and the 63, it would be the 63 that I would keep.

That's the "painted black" stock I have. The stocks are customer take offs. I'm still looking for the other 2 wooden ones. One is about that color and the other is darker. I think I still have both. Which one do you prefer, IF, I find both? I think they are in my shop.
