Sellier and Bellot plant rocked by explosion this morning

Not sure if you guys had seen this one.  I wonder if it will spook the ammo market at all?

It's deja vu though.  On September 9th of this year, there was another huge explosion at a diffferent gunpowder plant just outside of Prague.  WTF is going on here?

My guess "sabotage" in the ongoing effort for "OWO". But purely a guess, no concrete info to support it.

Ughhh... that's horrible. Hoping for the best for those unaccounted for and the families of those who were lost.

Yup, there are conflicting reports all over the place.  Some say multiple injured, some say one dead, others multiple lives lost, and all have many unaccounted for.  Last I read they were not able to even go into the structure where the explosion occurred to assess things because the fire dept. didn't have things under control and there was risk of further explosions.  Scary stuff, and definitely a time to pray for all involved.

Looks like they think it was the lead styphnate used to make the primers. Lead based primaries are friggin scary. Back when I worked at the nuke lab, any 'lessons learned' that came across the DOE/DoD complex usually involved a lead based primary, sometimes even lead azide which nobody in their right mind uses anymore.  People were always losing eyes, hands, feet, or just close calls involving hearing loss or minor injuries from improper handling of sensitive primaries.

Very unfortunate about the explosion and lives lost...

...but more importantly, everybody go buy all the S&B ammo you can find hoard, it's going to be worth a fortune. You heard it here first.
