Awesome collection jj!

Would you be interested in taking a suite of photos of various parts from of one or two of them to be used in the Russian SKS Survey?  I'm getting to the point where I can start thinking about the example photographs that will give the survey taker images of the information we're looking for. PM me if you're interested!  thumb1

1776 will commence again if you try to take our firearms... It doesn't matter how many Lenins you get out on the street begging for them to be taken.

Yeah, I already have detailed photos of all of them.  Probably already have anything of interest captured.

The previous owner of the Izhevsk got it from a local gun store.  He had ordered one of the well used Chinese rifles that came into the country not too long ago and somehow the gun shop screwed up and never ordered the rifle.  After many weeks of waiting the previous owner went to the gun shop to pickup his Chinese rifle, and they happened to have this one that they had just taken in on trade.  They gave him this one in place of the Chinese rifle that they forgot to order!!  Score!

The previous owner made out very well on the deal.

John Galt

When the Cambrian measures were forming, They promised perpetual peace.
They swore, if we gave them our weapons, that the wars of the tribes would cease.
But when we disarmed They sold us and delivered us bound to our foe,
And the Gods of the Copybook Headings said: "Stick to the Devil you know."

Probably never going to happen.  After all my years of collecting SKS rifles, the only Izhevsk rifle that I've ever seen in person is the beautiful 1954 above.  They seem to be extremely uncommon here in Ohio.  I see Tula rifles all the time, but never Izhevsk.
