March Chinese GB listings.  This one was a bear, and it will likely be the last monthly Chinese GB listing we see unless I can find an easy way to weed out the stupid reserve auctions that close below the reserve prices. 

Please let me know what you think (good or bad, I can take it  ).  Also, if you are the seller or buyer of one of these auctions and I've singled you out for one reason or another, and you simply don't like it, by all means call me out.  I'm happy to revisit anything in here and correct the record if I've gotten it wrong.  "Current Condition" designators are open to interpretation as well, I'm learning that I suck at this portion of classification  .

(I will update all these march GB posts with averages and whatnot when I get them computed! )

120 Chinese were properly sold.  I have another sheet with 160 unsold (didn't meet reserve or buyer backed out) and 16 parts guns/barreled receivers.

I'm setting up the auto data crunching functions of the spreadsheet.  I will be able to break it down to how much all the as-issued, 1954, Tula, in good condition SKSs sold for in any given month.  It's going to be pretty slick!

How did you come up with this sample?

I pulled the listings from completed gunboard auctions for the entire month of March Jliu123.  Over on sksboards, there was a gentlman named Boomer32 who used to hand compile data from all the Russian SKSs.  When he passed away, Blicero briefly took up the mantle until it became too much work.  I'm seeing if it can be easily done w/o having to sink too much time into it.  (At this point in time, the jury is still out  )

I'm working on compiling the average prices for different countries, various configurations, arsenal conditions, and current conditions.  I hope to have that feature of this spreadsheet done in time for the April GB listings.  We'll see how it turns out, it's definitely a work in progress.

Yeah I may or may not continue the Chinese listings. They are quite a bit more work than the Russians and even the Yugos. I think I'll try one more cycle and see how much discussion they generate. If people only talk about one gun in the whole list of 120, it's probably not worth continuing.
