The Eagles, pistols, not the classic rock group

About 10yrs ago, I got my first Desert Eagle an early Mark VII made in Israel, well it's been down hill since. The flock has grown since I got my .44mag. I got a .357mag with the 10inch barrel, then acquired the .357mag 6 inch conversion barrel. Earlier this year against my better judgement, I ran across the big .50AE, like new in burnt bronze for a price I couldn't walk from, then I had to get the .429DE conversion barrel for it.

The original .44mag has also been rebuilt, no clue how many rounds it's seen, I've dished out quite a few thru it over the years, but it finally got new springs and an updated recoil rod assembly. And the old antique Tasco reddot has taken some major abuse on the pistol, and it still holds zero after all these years.






With the swapping of barrels, I added LPA adjustable rear sights to help over trying to kentucky windage it during swaps.


The Magnum Research designed .429DE with a 9mm and .50AE. The .429DE is very close to the .440 Corbon from years ago. It takes the .429 bullet to a 25% velocity increase and a 45% energy advantage over the classic .44 Magnum cartridge, handloading like the .50AE can eek a little extra out of it. They basically took the 50AE and necked it down for a smaller .429 diameter bullet. The killer with the .429 is loading data is very sparse, so you have to work it up slowly, and not many places sell the ammo, so your back to handloading to play.
