Lightning Strikes Twice: North Vietnamese 630649

Well, I'd won the fight for NVA 630550. With a bit of budget left over, off to the salt mines to help feed the family. I checked in to the hotel with happy expectations of picking up 630550 once I got home, got ready to rest up for the upcoming shift, and figured I'd browse a bit to get tired and sleep, when THIS popped up:

Great find. Two NVAs is 2 more than most SKS collectors will ever have, and 1 more than most of the rest. Another great example  Were they both from GunBroker, or online auctions, or…?

Thanks Phos! Both were Gunbroker auctions. I swear the story on this one is accurate; I was just prepared to turn in when I saw this one, and I'd bet money I might have been one of the first to view the auction. It had a reasonable BIN price, so in a fatigued state after driving for hours I quickly checked known rifle lists (this one has surfaced before), and smashed the button addiction be darned! Those cracker-eatin' kids will thank me SOME day...

Yeah, I almost couldn't believe it when I saw it. And I was afraid to check the data bases in fear it would be gone when I returned to the auction tab, but luck held. It was almost midnight when I saw it, so I think the stars aligned on that one!

I like this one even more than the 630550 you bought minutes before!  It's certainly in much better shape.  You got two of them for what one could conceivably pay for one (and there are a couple that have listed and remained unsold on gunbroker for $4k to $6k over the past several months).
