I just picked up a very beautiful triangle 6.  The serial number is 03891. On the receiver it has 003891… of course, all matching numbers really excellent condition- cruciform bayonet and no Chinese Kanjis . I can’t seem to find anything else about it. Was a steal at $400!!!

Good to see there's more than infrequent deals around, nice git, PAX

Triangle 6?  Do you mean 26?

Great catch, especially at that price. Got any photos?

I second Boris, though from your description it really doesn't seem like a /26\ without the Chinese characters and that odd S/N.  I've never seen a /6\ before.

Photos will let us determine what it is and they also allow us to ooh and aah over it!!!  rofl2

If it only has a 6 in the triangle, how does it make it a 6666?

According to this chart, there’s a triangle 6 in the 4th from the bottom although the ? Inside the triangle is confusing

Yours is a “triangle 6666”. Look at the link I posted. The “?6” will also be apparent there.

I did see this. So it being a 6666, what else can you tell me? Is it rarer than others esp with low s/n and what is the triangle /?6/   ????

Also, i wasn’t planning on selling it but can you give an approximate value and lastly according to the chart, are 6666 not very common compared to the others?

The 6666 guns aren’t common, not that it seems to add much value, since I know of exactly one arsenal collector.

I don’t know current value for a late production minor arsenal Type 56 since I haven’t been following that aspect of the market lately. You can get a range of values by using the Advanced Search feature on GunBroker and choosing completed sales. Sort by number of bids high to low since 0 bid “completed sales” (expired auctions) will show up.

The ?6 is 2666, or 6266, or 6626, or 6662. Nobody but the Chinese know which of the four is correct, hence the “?”.
