Thanks 606… looking forward to some more information and we will get it into the reference database.   thumb1

1776 will commence again if you try to take our firearms... It doesn't matter how many Lenins you get out on the street begging for them to be taken.

Hi 606, could you send some more photos of this carbine?  They are so few and far between this is only the 4th one I've recorded. Maybe the full s/n with the last two digits blanked if you don't want to release the full s/n?  I think I see pinned and pressed barrel, cast gas block, lightened bolt carrier, but more photos would definitely help.  thumb1

Does it have the same gas piston as my example had? https://sks-files.com/index.php?topic=7382.0

Idk why they feel the need to put the pin RIGHT over the SN but besides that they are super cool rifles. Never shot mine but totally would have had I not sold it.

Very nice photos 8. I really like how close the HG matches the stock. They usually aren't that close. I had a set that matches that matched that well that I built my last scrubbed rifle with it. I also used a blued bolt carrier, Alby black bayo and a black naval sling. PAX

Thanks for the photos 606!  From the magazine pin I take it you are up in Canada?  Very nice carbine you have there.  Only the second or third example I've ever seen with a S/N'd phenolic stock.  I wonder if this had to be done at the factory.  The number along with the almost perfectly matching handguard (as echo rightly points out) leads me to believe it's a distinct possibility.  Very cool.

Exact same piston.  Wild!  Is the phenolic stock on your carbine S/N'd as well SKSguy?

We got a batch of I believe 500 of these rifles into Canada. I know there is a serial 00001 that exists in country too. From my understanding they are all /606\ and I would assume have the same characteristics as the three that you have seen from us Canadians RM.
