M59/66 Serial Number Force Matched?

Hello,

I am looking at an M59/66 locally and have images of most if not all of the serialized parts which appear to match as best as I can tell. There is one on the trigger guard that I presume has been force matched as two or three of the last three digits appear to have been added over some other numbers.

Checking in to ask if that's likely what I'm lookin at?

How common is it and how much might it affect value or function if not the original part(s)?

I haven’t seen an overstamp on a Yugoslavian but that doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. To me it wouldn’t be a huge deal on an M59/66. Almost all M59/66s have been refurbished one or more times.

On a K98k a force-match would be a deal killer since it’d almost certainly have been done by some unscrupulous person in the states. On a Mosin I wouldn’t care a bit if a minor serialized component was force-matched. The Yugoslavian is far closer to the Mosin end of the spectrum in that regard. Other collectors may have different opinions.
