Hi SKS Junkies,

SPOILER ALERT: Purist's avert your eye's or go blind. You've been warned!
Couple few years ago I traded Yugo 59/66 furniture straight across for this set up. I had a SARCO barreled receiver laying about so I thought I'd turn the Khyber Pass Boys lose. This is what we ended up with, Shernic bull pucky. First off, of course, chop the barrel to 18.5", neutered FSB, Alby bolt mag & carrier, and I finally found a use for one of those honky vented gas tubes. At that barrel length, in the Shernic, the OAL is a bust, so I added a Ramline brake. Good by 1/4 inch now. Tapco piston, Murray trigger job & 2 piece FP, Shernic sock count, the whole she-bang is 922r worthy. Plus, I stayed with the stock mag which makes it GTG in Kali, even with it's evilness. Needs a light and she's ready for the mall ninja crowd. Weighs at least 5 kilos. PAX rofl

Is that an Albanian mag?

My Avatar is a pic of the real "Ghost" SKS in honor of xxxsks(joe). It is a pic of a fully decked out SKS in Capco hunter's kit. This was mine, the only other pic I had ever seen of one was Joe's.

He's in CA, I don't think a 20rnder is legal for him without getting it registered.

That's an interesting setup Pax.  How reliable is the trigger linkage on this one?  I've always heard those are hit or miss.

I just finished it a couple days ago. Dry firing it seems to have a better trigger "feel". My hope is someone here in Kali will go all GAGA for it and I can go after A Russian I've been eye balling. PAX

Kermit an I worked a deal. I traded him a G9 for one of his stocks. Visit my site. I think it's still posted. And yes, his trigger linkage is super good. I never had a FTF or a jamb. A friend of mine also ought one from him. I have that stock also. His craftsmanship was top shelf.

Finally added a vertical grip to the tri-rail. Handles better and looks like it does so (still fugly). All I need is a laser and a flashlight to be Ninjad out. PAX
