My new 54’

Bought a Russian to carry around up here. $600. 54’. Just showing her off. Non refurb as far as I can tell. Original serialized stock is not on it, I have this spare laminate that I threw on. I didn’t want to bang her around with its original stock and this one looks better on her anyways. The original is pretty beat up and ugly. I’ll post pics of it when I’m back home. I actually want to refinish it. Somebody stop me. 

But yeah enjoy. I think she’s pretty alright

Ah, so you must be over by Hayward, my wife's family is from Duluth and had a cabin on Bear Lake near Hazelhurst. Always loved going up there and over to Superior/Duluth area.

Nah both the stock & handguard are laminate replacement that I put on. The original stock & handguard are hardwood.

How bad off is the original stock?  Normally I'd say "Don't touch it!!" but some poor stocks just need to be put out of their misery...

The bug has bitten!

It’s a bit rough. Strangely rough considering how decent the metal is. Makes me sad to see. Banged up, shellac missing in spots. Could be worse, not sino/albanian level bad.. but makes me sad. It’ll probably just sit in the corner forever. Lol
