There are going to be two types of people in this world , those without toilet paper , and those with plenty of ammo to protect their toilet paper

Greatguns

That's actually expensive for a Canadian price. Last I looked, and it has been a while, they were $299 up north.
My Avatar is a pic of the real "Ghost" SKS in honor of xxxsks(joe). It is a pic of a fully decked out SKS in Capco hunter's kit. This was mine, the only other pic I had ever seen of one was Joe's.

hoopharted

thats dirt cheap in comparison to here even without the conversion rate

That's a Canada thing. I actually have a Canadian SKS box mag that has the riveted block to restrict it to 5 rnds. Somehow a guy in NOLA latched onto a bunch of and was selling them on Ebay last year.

Prices on the SKS in Canada has risen last year. You could get one for $250.00 to $300.00 and now $400.00 to $600.00 CDN. We are also limited to having magazines holding  5 rounds, so magazines are pinned to limit capacity. Examples of this are -

same as Soviet refurb SVT-40

It's easy enough to look past the Canadian SKS deals every time I see a pefectly matching magazine that has been franken-pinned.

Such examples wouldn't fetch much more in the US imho.

I also do not like the way magazines are franken-pinned. I have debated on getting a welder to redo the magazine on my 50, file it flush then cold blue. Would have to be careful not to damage serial number.

It's interesting to see them use a museum pic (from wikipedia) of a non-refurb letter gun for their refurb Russians.

It's bad, that mine early 1949 has franken-pinned mag. That mag is unique, has NO pin in the front of the mag like the rest of the Russian and Chinese SKS have. I could never find a replacement.
