Howdy Folks,

New to this page here. Can anybody tell me if the Norinco SKS 56 is legal in California....with the spiked bayonet? I know there are several in California. I want to purchase one off of one of the auction sites. I know it will have to go though my local FFL as my other C&R rifles have. But again, can I still order one and have it shipped here. I can't seem to get a straight answer from anybody. Thanks folks.

Yes it's legit, but the last Chinese I transferred FTF, the FFL made me take off the bayos, as per the Kali DOJ. But he said the Alby selling at the same time, was good with a bayo??? Must be something new, because I've bought them from LGSs with bayos. PAX

Pax is right.  If you purchase one just have the seller ship you the bayo and the gun to a ffl. Its so stupid.

Never had a problem with spike or blade in my neck of the woods - SoCal high desert (boonies).
