Hey guys, I this is in line with the stripper clips thread I posted. In this lot of parts I got 4 stocks. 1 is obviously Chinese, Wondering about the other three, especially the last one. The three are all blade bayonet cut and have brass cross-bolts it appears, not sure on the wood and possibly reworked at one time or another. Wood graining on the last 2 have more definition than a standard Chinese from what I am used to. Also, the last one has numbers stamped on both sides and they are horizontal along with faint vertical stamping on the left side. Numbers all seem the same. They were all listed as Chinese. If anybody picks up on any details I'm missing on these I'd appreciate the heads up. Lightly wondering if the 1st one might be Romanian and the last 2 M59 Yugos??? Or if they are off of these batches of Albanian import conglomerates??? Or is my Brain Fogging up again rofl

My Avatar is a pic of the real "Ghost" SKS in honor of xxxsks(joe). It is a pic of a fully decked out SKS in Capco hunter's kit. This was mine, the only other pic I had ever seen of one was Joe's.

The fish scaling on the first, I'd say Romanian for sure, the last says Romanian due to the vertical and horizontal numbering, I have one similar.  The middle... ehh, my gut says Romanian...but maybe Chinese, but I lean more Rommy.

Romanian stocks aren't hard to find, Clearview investments has been selling them.... Them listed as Romanian for quite a while.

And yeah, your brain is always foggy. thumb1 rofl2
I'm going to make him an offer he can't refuse......

Leave the gun, take the cannoli.

Even though we know GM has a clear confirmation bias towards Romanian's I have to reluctantly side with him on this one.  All three look to be Romys to me.  Second one has S/N BC11?5 on it...clearly off a 1958 Romy by the S/N & that wood.   thumb1

Cause Romanians are Fo shizzle my nizzle.. thumb1 Look at all the Russians, Yugos and all them Chinese, I've seen more Albanians recently than Romanians. It's hard to top an SKS that carries the weight and soul of Vlad Țepeș with it, and has a really cool sling. chuckles1

And I am right at least once a year, it's in the admin contract, and that was it for 2020.  :)

LOL, as Yakoff Smirnoff says, "you guys break me down"

Anyway, thanks for the help, now I have to decide what to do with them. I have 3 Chicom barreled receivers to pick up from my FFL, maybe I'll make a Chimanian or a Romanese out of one of them.
