My "new to me" Israeli Capture /26\ SKS(pic heavy)

Finally got my Israeli Capture SKS yesterday and was able to get some pics this morning since it has been raining. Came without a sling or cleaning rod and the bayonet was upside-down(imagine that). Added a Chinese rod and Russian sling I had on hand then flipped the bayonet.
Only bummer is the mag is not matching. Not sure the origin on this one with the 6 digits. Was thinking early 6 digit Chinese or Yugo, but mag doesn't have the side stamped part number on it like most M59/66s do.
Anyway, here ya go.

Factory and SN range. /26\ in the 11M-mid 12M SN range were sold to either Syria or, most likely the PLO and subsequently used in the 1982 Lebanon war where many were captured by the IDF. Old school of thought was that these were sold to Egypt and were called Egyptian Contract, but newer evidence shows no SKSs were ever sold to Egypt by China. They also received a parts cache from the Russians, thus the blonde laminated stock with double cut bayonet slot. See pic below. There is a section on it in the Chinese SKS Guide.

Awesome!  Glad it arrived and got it's bayonet fixed....wonder how long it suffered like that. 
Without the aid of the sticky, I gave the wife a bit of a description regarding these...rather detailed, I don't think I left much out....this was while you were preparing this post. I think she actually half listened, and knew what I was talking about half the time...

When she saw it, out comes.... OH PRETTY! 
So, wifey approves!

The way they altered the bayonet groove that wide, it almost looks like you could have a flat folding blade.

Oh, did you find any sand?

And with the laminate Russian stocks, another give away is the blued bolt, CIA importer. PAX
