Anyone know what this means or indicates on a blade bayonet? This was on my 51' Russian but not sure if it's original since the collar had been replaced/mismatched with a slanted collar when the actual ears were supposed to be straight - gave me the bayonet sag. Everything else on the rifle is number matched otherwise, although the stock is force matched with original serial "X"-ed out and new serial stamped in.

I would guess an inspection mark of some sort.

It's the infinity symbol stating that it once belonged to Buzz Lightyear which is where the saying came from "to infinity and beyond" :)

Seriously, Phos is probably correct, but it is interesting the way it is coated. The circle part where the spring rides is in the white but the stem before the blade is blacked. The one I just sent is in the white until after the spring stop. BTW, the blade I sent has a faint stamp in the same place but it is different.
My Avatar is a pic of the real "Ghost" SKS in honor of xxxsks(joe). It is a pic of a fully decked out SKS in Capco hunter's kit. This was mine, the only other pic I had ever seen of one was Joe's.
