Hello.  I've been a long time SKS collector and long time lurker on the SKS files.  About me, I did 21 years with the Air Force and still work for them as a government civilian in intel.  I decided to finally introduce myself as I've seen various threads on SKSs I won in auctions. I figured that I could provide some inputs for other's questions.  For my collection I can say that I finally have the "trinity" in SKSs.  I have an NVA type 1 (sn 642366), the recently sold on Rock Island East German SKS (sn 60F1608), and North Korean type 63 (sn ㄹㅊ3092ㅂ).  Outside the trinity I have the proper Sino Soviet type 56 with Tula star (sn 0934), 1949 Russian with spike baronet, Croation honor guard, Slovenian honor guard, Chinese honor guard, Farmer's Friend w/box scope and paperwork, polytech hunter with correct 5 rivet magazine, stamped receiver Chinese, Cowboy companion with scope, Briklee hunter with scope, SKS Sniper with scope and box, SKS-D with box, SKS-M, Yugo sniper with ON-2 scope (I need to find the correct mount though) and a bunch of regular Russian, Chinese, Romanian, Albanian SKSs.  I'm sure that I'm missing a few others.

Seriously Fisher, Welcome from Kentucky!!!  Since you've been lurking around (gotta watch those Intel types), you know we're a mixed bag here that all appreciate a fine SKS when we see one.  They even accepted this broke down Jarhead and made me feel welcome!  (Got any Crayons  )
