I thought this post would be um, appropriate for the forum......here’s my Chinese wife shooting for the first time a Chinese Type 56 SKS. She hit paper at 100 yds 8 of 10 rds. I’ll say the first stripper clip was resistant to load all 10 rds. The second was a little better and the third was cake. Not a single malfunction and aside from the SKS sight picture, it’s pretty damn fun shooting.

Thanks. It was kinda funny cuz we were going down to the range on our property to sight in for elk season coming up 10/10, so she grabbed her 6.5 Creedmore and I grabbed the SKS. She froze and looked at me. “You’re going to hunt with that?” So I played along for a second, “ya, why not?” She shook her head. “You’re crazy! You don’t even know if it works!” So I also grabbed my .300 WINMAG and said ok, I’ll take this as back up.” Then she looked at me and had it all put together. “You’re not going to hunt that. It doesn’t have a scope and it’s not a big enough caliber for a bull elk! You’re just taking it to go shoot it!”
