It was my understanding (And I could be absolutely wrong on this) that bolts without lightening cuts were strictly made for the commercial/export market... Is this accurate? Thanks, Guys!

I have a few that are in full military configuration without lightening cuts, it's not just exclusive to commercial variants, it was a time and labor saving thing in later production rifles used in some different factorys.

Such as... a Chinese Public Security thumb1

I'm going to make him an offer he can't refuse......

Leave the gun, take the cannoli.

I said I was an addict........I didn't say I had a problem

The lightening cuts went away in 1966 starting with the 11 mil series and forward.
