My son LOOSECANNON  says I need to introduce myself.   I have been collecting rifles for 50 years,  at first just a few  hand me downs from relatives.    A  few years ago a local sporting goods store, called Dunhams,  started selling surplus military rifles for very reasonable prices. So I bought one and then another and then another , along with the Mausers, M38's, M91/30's, M44's I bought a new Yugo the box for $125. Somewhere around  that time my son LOOSECANNON got the bug too.  I have several SKS's on the wall, under the bed, or down in the basement. I am retired now,  so I have a lot of time to go to gunshows.  I am now collecting mostly Military .22s and target .22s .   I like the older stuff.  I really appreciate the time and effort that went into making a Remington 37, a Winchester 52, or a Stevens Walnut Hill.  Don't get me wrong.  SKSs are fun to shoot. They make a lot of noise, don't kick much, and the ammo is cheap.  What is there not to like.

Oh man...Travis's dad is here. I just have so many unanswered questions about why...how...LC became what he became. Was he dropped? Raised by wolves for a year while you were out golfing? WHAT HAPPENED?!?

  Dang--finally somebody my age !!  Welcome from Kansas, you will find a wealth of information here. I don't collect 22's but I do have an old Mossberg single shot that I have been trying to find a bolt for--It was my youngest sons and he never found a bolt for it either, think it's a type b--or something like that. The bolt will probably cost more than the rifle is worth but it is just kind of special.  You have to watch the guys here --once in a while they go off the deep end but for the most part you couldn't ask for a better bunch of guys.

I'm sure the guys will have a ton of questions for ya about good ole LC. All i can say is with what he knows about the SKS and milsurps in general...You did right. 

Seeing your groups in the jackalope challenge...they are amazing.  We'll have to give you your own class just to give the other guys a chance.
