Glad to see a New Yorker on board !
I am not 100% clearer on the N.Y. safe act ?
I know it effects the AR15 & AK-47,74 does it effect the standard as issued SKS in any way shape or form ?
I may end up having to move back there some day, I still have many relative's in Western, N.Y.

Pretty much all the factory built SKS rifles without the thumbhole stocks are good to go under the safe act. Fixed 10 round can having any features, detachable mag = no bayo and not over 10 rounds. Just picked up a as imported SKSS which I feel is the perfect option SKS here. Took me a while to find one though.

Not on the fixed magazine SKS. The ak mag versions yes.
