Not sure if this reference site has been posted but a pretty good reference with a lot of good WWII info on various countries. http://ww2data.blogspot.com/2016/01/soviet-satellite-country-ammunition.html

Here is some photos from the Chinese ammo and it had a lot of translated terms that may come in handy.

Nice Bunker....  I bet RM will be interested for sure as he has been looking at the chinese ammo box markings etc for some time now.   thumb1

1776 will commence again if you try to take our firearms... It doesn't matter how many Lenins you get out on the street begging for them to be taken.

Definitely!  thumb1

This is great stuff!  It's nice to know that even in the pre Mao days, they had the factory marking on the outside of the crate.  Old habits die hard, and despite the civil war and regime change after the end of WWII, the markings really seem to have remained fairly consistent.

Here is some more I had archived for years, courtesy of AK Member "56type".

3 and 6 mag chest pouches:

5 mag shoulder pouch:

75/100 round drum pouch:

SKS bandolier:

Ammo tins:

4 mag pouch, according to the markings it was intended for the Type 81 rifle.

The top line is: 81 type automatic rifle bullet pouch

The second line is: 9709 87 year manufactured

There are times when two of the Chinese characters came together to form the word. An example of this is the word "automatic" which in Chinese is zi+dong, also "rifle" which is bu+qiang, and "bullet" which is zi+dan.
