Way too much mumbo jumbo gang.  The web site host is pulling you leg with this nonsense.  If you can't drag a pix into a post of your own files it is really too bad.

I blame sites, like Facebook, for this. Just about every forum I've ever belonged to, including ones owned by large corporations, has done it the way you guys have it setup. Facebook comes along with its own hosting ability and people now expect it everywhere not realizing the costs incurred for independent boards to do likewise. Personally, I don't get what is so hard about using a photo hosting site. I've been doing so for over 16 years, in one form or another, with no problems. First, I used Angelfire, then Geocities, and now Photobucket. It's a lot easier to use the new host sites than the old method of using free website hosts to just host images.

I split it, yeah me... trashin up the stickys    None of us here are Mark Zuckerberg,  Eduardo Saverin, Andrew McCollum, Chris Hughes or even Evan Williams.. We ain't got the billions in corporate dollars, the other billions in sponsors and free flow capital, a couple of dozen of server farms worldwide that are in excess of 30,000sq ft a piece, each using as much power a 30,000 plus houses 24/7. I bet 'ol Mark Zuckerberg has lost more pocket change in his couch and under his car seat than it takes to keep this fourm running.    We have limited space, limited funds, and sometimes, limited time(we have lives as well), we do this because we want to and choose to, not because we have to.

Photos take space, space is like real-estate here in the real world, gigabytes and acres have one thing in common, they cost money. Hosting photos is why dedicated companies exist, i.e. Photobucket, Zenfolio, Shutterfly, most are free and easy, so easy a dumb hillbilly caveman can do it, yeah...I can do it, the killer of multiple PCs, cell phones, a tablet and I have been known to put down a HP printer in the front yard, God rest it's ink loving soul. Broaden your horizons, learn something new, learning never stops in life, and it ain't like computers are going away, there is more than one way to do anything.  If one wanted to really show his uber nerdness, he could always build a dedicated FTP server and host his own smut.

And if someone would like to sponsor us our own server rack w/unlimited space, bandwidth, processing power and not shared with anyone,(let me also add....pop up ad free and not owned by a larger corporation destined to make money off ad hits) please, by all means, feel free to contact an admin
