Ah...  I was under the impression your gun was not US imported.

Nope, US gun.  I've liberated a few from you people hahaha.

Well un-liberate it and send it back, it's marked for us anyway, I mean them terrible US import stamps.. how dare they defile such a nice Canadian specimen....it needs to be with another Security Forces 416 KFS ATL GA family anyway, trust me  :)  it will be well cared for.  thumb1 I'll hold it, while you find an unmarked specimen chuckles1
I'm going to make him an offer he can't refuse......

Leave the gun, take the cannoli.

I said I was an addict........I didn't say I had a problem

Sister rifle for sure.  Same 18x serial, same KFS markings.  Very cool  thumb1  Less than 500 apart haha.

I really should take a closer look at my Albanian.  Someone liberated that one from the US as well, but no obvious import mark from when it first landed state side.  I probably just haven't seen it.

I'd bet dollars to donuts that Alby is going to have a TG import stamp under the barrel (likely covered up by the bayo & cleaning rod).

Something like:

Yup. Sure does. I like how it is near invisible in that location. Doesn't alter much of the outward appearance.

My Certificate of Authenticity from Keng's Firearms Specialty Inc has just arrived regarding my 016/416 Arsenal stamped, PS stamped Type 56 SKS.

It says...

"This certificate acknowledges that the Poly Technologies, Inc. SKS with Serial Number 180383## was manufactured by State Arsenal 416 in Jing-AN, China.  It was imported by Keng's Firearms Specialty, Inc. on October 13, 1987 and was sold on December 29, 1987."

So there it is.

And here is the close up of the Arsenal stamp...

Really nice, fenceline! I've been debating whether or not to buy one of the certificates from Keng's. I think I'll get one for mine, too. I just wasn't sure it would apply to the SKS and not just the Polytech AK's.

Nice!  Anything else on the rest of the whole gun?  No 'China' or 7.62 anywhere?!

Nope.  Nothing except the Public Security markings on the right side.   :P

It is one of my favorite Chinese SKS, just for the quality of the wood stock.  The gun is all matching, including the stock.

I looked at mine after reading your post and it's marked just like yours. But after further inspection, if you look just forward of your Gas Block, on the under side of the barrel, it should have a nice stamp that reads: SKS 7.62 CHINA. Very small, discreet stamp, like the Albanian TGI stamps, forward of the Gas Block.

RM, if you need pics of that, let me know.

Would love to see a pic of that stamp FC!  I was surprised that this keng's stamp wasn't more detailed, but it appears I haven't been looking hard enough!  This info is much appreciated!!  thumb1

Firstchoice says there is a "SKS 7.62 CHINA" stamp forward of the gas block at the bottom of the barrel.  Much like the Alby TGI stamps....

Will take a look and get back to you.

I was curious as to whether the "SKS 7.62 CHINA" stamp was located in the same location on your KFS-imported Public Security Rifle?
