There are most certainly 4 digit ghosts!  All the way from ~2000 to 9999.

Good catch, I missed that one.  Although the next question is how much can you hack off a gun and still call it an XYZ model?  At some point you lose enough that it just defaults to a generic, nothing special paratrooper.  I suspect this one w/o the scope, scope mount, and extra bubba goodness installed has reached that point.

The statement itself is not even correct...because Ds and Ms are NEW production guns, not "modified" to take AK mags

Yeah that rifle is most likely a Sporter or an M with the fsb changed out. Look at the discoloration between the fsb and the barrel. The winner is padams8888 so we will find out for sure.
