Found another. Has 3 Chinese characters, rectangle with 0147 in it, Serial 21,001,696L Bbl and collet marked 16. Nothing on right side of receiver. Left side Made in China by Norinco Poly USA Atlanta GA., handguard and gas rod electro pencilled, trigger, mag, bolt, carrier, cover, receiver all marked 1696. The bbl is not smooth blue but has lathe lines on most of it(like very small threads)
Any info would be appreciated. Wood looks to be new poly. Can e mail pics 3 per email as they will be large.

Thanks for any help. Will try to get pics tomorrow

1976 gun...  Could be a cast receiver being from a [] arsenal.  Ill bet the gasblock and possibility rsb are cast atleast.  We only have two serials recorded from this arsenal, so pictures will def help the data pool.  You can send pics to me if you like.  Ill send you my email via PM.

1776 will commence again if you try to take our firearms... It doesn't matter how many Lenins you get out on the street begging for them to be taken.

We've been noticing the [ ] arsenals are more likely to have the Lathe marks you spoke of, and cast parts like LC said. My [0140 ] SKS is so rough, a normal fixed mag wont even fit without modification.

Is the stock numbered? matching, non-matching or blank?

Almost looks like the receiver is cast... Kinda hard to tell from the pics.
