GB listings for September, 2015 - Chinese Military

Note: In August we updated the way we tally Chinese guns and tally the totals.  All Commercially modified guns have been broken out of the list and will be listed in their own section on the Chinese SKS (Commercial) boards.  I won't be going back to update the old GB listings, but I will pull all the Commercial guns from the sticky threaded yearly tally for an accurate apples to apples average for all months in 2015.

We were way down this month, only 69 Chinese, $176.00 low, $950.00 high, $363.36 avg.

I didn't even notice the price on that one LC. 

If someone is looking for a 'nice' looking SKS, that one has great wood and the metal is in very good shape too.  It's not collectability that drives the price here, this buyer was a guy who wanted a nice gun he could shoot w/o having to constantly wipe seeping cosmoline off of the stock.

Any chance this 1 is a DB or DP ? One thing I've noticed on these, They almost always have the "round" gas block. This 1 has it and my eyes may be deceiving me but if it doesn't start with 00 it sure looks like DB to me. The S/N is hard to see but doesn't quite jive to the stock s/n but could.

It certainly could be a DB/DP. Photos are so bad I didn't even want to guess. The gun is just in sad shape. Normal King firearms has decent photos. This auction was just  though.

Very often they do, but it's often hit or miss.  It seems that a PS stamp will add $$ to an already nice rifle, but a mixmaster or one that isn't in great condition doesn't seem to get the same kind of bump.

Very often they do, but it's often hit or miss.  It seems that a PS stamp will add $$ to an already nice rifle, but a mixmaster or one that isn't in great condition doesn't seem to get the same kind of bump.

They also get over looked quite often. Once you know what to look for, you'll find them being sold at regular price with no mention at all of them being a PS rifle. Picked mine up from a yard sale, at my areas market value for a nice chicom.
