1776 will commence again if you try to take our firearms... It doesn't matter how many Lenins you get out on the street begging for them to be taken.

Very nice specimen jliu123!  thumb1

I noticed you asked over at sksboards about reconciling the 7 mil serial number and the 1993 date on the certificate.  The answer is that this gun started its life in 1963 as a stock 7 million series Type 56 out of arsenal /26\.  It went through at least a minimal refurbishment at some point, as the gas tube is not an original one piece design.  By '93, Chinese SKSs had basically flooded the American market (remember they were imported since '84...they were so plentiful that retailers needed gimmicks to be able to sell them) and the importers needed something special to entice the masses to buy...hence the pushing of these different looking parade guns.  I believe that SKSs imported after the G. HW Bush 'ban' in '89 had the 'non sporting' bayos removed and many of the really late SKSs up to the AWB of '94 actually had the bayo lugs ground off so as to be unusable.  The chromed bayos ending up back on certain individual parade guns is an interesting story.  I believe LC has info about all that.  thumb1

I talked to Andy Sun... the purchaser and importer of these rifles.  They were NOT imported with bayos. They were added by him here in the states.
