Since my heart surgery in July I have been "chomping at the bits" to do some shooting. Last visit my heart surgeon said "wait", it's been three months since the surgery...WAIT FOR WHAT?

Today I pulled out my 11 mill /26\ gun, the most accurate of our three Chineses carbines, and a box each of some Golden Tiger and Brown Bear that running-man gifted me back in May (thanks again Joe). Since I am all out of targets, I made some with a 6 inch bullseye so don't make fun of my homemade targets! (well...maybe just a little)

At 50 yards, from a steady rest, here is the results in my Chinese 11 mil:

GOLDEN TIGER FMJBT 124 GRAIN FIVE RDS

BROWN BEAR  SP 125 GRAIN FIVE RDS

I want to do some more shooting but had to stop, I got the shakes and could hardly stay on target! But no pain...Doctors are full of crap.

Nice shooting Danny!  I bet it feels good to get back on target again!

Thanks John, I needed to smell that burning powder, it's good therapy!

I know how it feel Danny...It was way too long since my last range trip.  It makes a guy feel a little off inside when the smell of gunpowder dissipates and the shoulder doesn't remember the feeling of recoil.  I killed a few targets myself this past weekend!  Good fun!

thumb1 thumb1 I'm jealous   cry1   It's been so long since I savoured that smell, I'm considering popping a bullet and just burning the powder to smell it. Besplode rofl2 chuckles1

Wow, talk about excitement, poor fella couldn't control himself.. like a 16 yr old boy getting loved on at the prom by an 18yr old cheerleader  wink1 chuckles1  That would be my story  thumb1

1776 will commence again if you try to take our firearms... It doesn't matter how many Lenins you get out on the street begging for them to be taken.

Glad you're back behind the trigger again DB  thumb1  :)

Dang Danny, I wish I could shoot that well now...let alone after heart surgery  thumb1 Glad ya had a good time.

Dang Danny, I'd be hard pressed to consistently hit the target itself, much less get all my shots within a sprayed on dot 4" in diameter from 50 yards!  Looks like you had one flyer in the GT group, but otherwise it went right where you wanted it to...

I'm mighty glad to see that ammo is being put to good use!  thumb1

My thanks to each of you for the "flowers"! Actually running-man that's a 6" dot and the GT ammo worked much better than it did in my Russian as you will recall! That flyer was my fault. I want to try the Ulyanovsk 124 grain HP cartridges (blue & white box) next as Deer season for centerfire guns is opening here 7 Nov and I'm going to try to bag one. However I may use the Golden Tiger regardless, I like it's accuracy, it shot a little tighter than the Brown Bear.

Happy to see you are back in the saddle! I hope to see many more targets shot up by you.

Nice shooting! Glad you could get out there.
