I checked the serials against the database.  These are new numbers.  The photos arent good enough to read the imprort stamps, but they are different from the TGI stamps.

The price on the “fair” condition ones seem high to anyone? They seem to be in pretty poor shape but are a grand each

I didn't really look closely, but IMO Alby's are at the top of the heap for kinda scarce SKS rifles. I've had 3 and moved my 2 roughest, one '69 for $850 couple few years ago, local to me (same guy bought 3 C&R Chinese in a bundle for $1500), and another Alby couple months ago. It had light trench art but that's what the fella was after, '70 @ $950 (Portland OR). Both buyers were happy to pay what they did for an Alby. The one I kept is the nicest, '70 but it's been humped, re-blue with some bits case hardened, stock lightly refinished. In the grand scheme of things it won't affect the value, to me, and if I wanted someone would pay top dollar for it. But I'm holding it as my Alby example. It was my least $pendy at $475 6 or 7 years ago. PAX

Rough carbines for certain.  Prices don't seem totally out of whack to me.  Maybe a bit high, but I think the days of sub $500 Albys has gone the way of the dodo.  And just to think, one could have had all the Good to VG condition T561s they wanted from AIM surplus back in 2002 for $229.95 + shipping with Excellent to VG specimens commanding $269.95.

When these didn't sell all that well, they had a special for fair condition carbines for $79.99 shipped.  I picked up 2 of them and still have both.  They are the equal of any of the $900 guns in the link above.  I used to know a guy who got somewhere in the neighborhood of 50 of them.  He sold them off slowly over the years and made good $ on each one...

Good call  thumb1

That is a weird one. The address for this FFL-08 importer is: 1030 N Aspen Dr, Chandler, AZ 85226, which is a house in a residential neighborhood.
