New to me Maadi

Had a good -buy a gun road trip- Saturday. I drove three hours one way and the seller was nice enough to drive two hours and hold it for me for over a week after a small deposit till I could meet up. Nice guy.

I always ask for the gun story, it's free. He said the wife spent the vacation money on a dog so it had to go.

I shot it yesterday from 25 yards leaning on my hot truck hood just to check function. Six oclock hold and it did ok. I'll fine tune it at the range.
He replaced the wood and did a nice job of staining and added a Tapco trigger. Also came with the original furniture and trigger, a Korean 40 rounder, Polish 30 rounder and a poly Tapco and a Magpul.

Got my only little United Nations thing going on in my safe.

Forgot to add. Cleaning kits in both stocks, correct blue sling and 20 inch barrel. $1300. I'm happy.

Cool  I love AKs. The Maadi RPMs with those 20” barrels are peculiar variants made by INTRAC. Ought to be a fun shooter!

I have been watching the AK files for the blue grip but nothing so far. One will pop up.

Now you dont see those every day.  I think I can only remember one down at the Nashville Gun show about 7 years ago or so.  Interesting rifle.  How do you like it so far?

I like it alot. It's not going anywhere. I recently found a black Maddi grip for it.

I also never new they had a 20" barrel. You need a bipod for it also. Very nice!
