I'm looking for recommendations on the best manufacturers of the AK receivers. I'd like to find one that will match my kits' serial numbers to the receiver and also to put original country of origin markings on the receiver.

It would be even better if they assembled the barreled receiver. I used to use the Global Trades/Armory USA company in Texas but they went away when the kits dried up.

Any ideas or info is appreciated.  thumb1

Give Two Rivers Arms a call or shoot them an email. I called them asking questions about my upcoming Yugo M64 AK build. They were very helpful. They will get my kit to build for sure. Ex military group of guys.

Thanks Lowell!  Where are they located? I've heard the name before but know little about them. Would you have a number to share for them?

Appreciate the help!   thumb1

Go to the AK Forums. Scroll down to the vendor section and you will see them. Lots of info about what they can do and have done.

Childers out of west VA has some of the best made receivers on the market and they are really great guys. You can customize your receiver to be serial matched to your kit even, or at least you used to. https://www.childersguns.com/Receivers

Thanks teddybear1848! The Serial Number option is important to me. I hope it's still an available option. I also want the original, country-specific receiver markings.

I also tend to avoid the manufacturers that feel the need to use the huge "billboard"-style company logos. What a waste.

Thanks for the link!

Nodak Spud makes AK receivers, not sure about customization. Their website says they are bought out by H&R so it might be awhile till they are back.
