What did I buy?

Bought this rifle locally (case of ammo included) for $600.00 only reason I bought it. 







Not sure what it’s even worth.

By the stamp it looks like a 6?6 arsenal number.  I can not make out the middle number though.  For the rifle and a case of ammo for $600 I think you did okay in these days and times of higher prices for firearms and ammo.

Looks like one that may be difficult to get the numbers in the correct order....appears to be a variation on a /666\ to me, but on the list of known arsenals...it's an unknown.

21 million would indicate it's a 1976 manufacture.If I had to hazard a guess I'd say it looks like /635\. An interesting unknown arsenal for sure.

A military Type 56 made in 1976 at arsenal "?8" seen in the sticky topic below; arsenal 3666, 6366, 6636 or 6663 since we don't know where the Chinese place the 3

Looks like it's in a Butler Creek stock. Those are one of the best aftermarket stocks around. With that bayo neuter job, looks pretty clean. All around decent buy I'd say, especially with the extras. PAX

Just noticed that it looks to have a Williams rear sight too. PAX
