I have previously stated in another post or two on here I have a slight addiction. Due to that fact I couldn't help myself and bought 2 from Classic. Both were ordered at the same time and Hand Select. I rolled the dice as previously stated in other post and I have ZERO complaints from the 2 I received. Here is number two.....

This bayonet looks staked to me also. Check it out and.....

.... only thing not matching on this one is the gas piston. Overall I think I did pretty well.

That’s a real beauty! Excellent luck of the draw on that one  thumb1

1776 will commence again if you try to take our firearms... It doesn't matter how many Lenins you get out on the street begging for them to be taken.

LC ok $400+fees. But you know this is a Classic gun. So you know there is a cosmoline clean-up fee (+$150) and a weekend surcharge (+$75) and of course don't forget the preview of the hand select (+$100).   rofl2 chuckles1

Another solid looking example! Let us know the name of your connection at the warehouse, so we can all use him during the next sale...

:P

All I can say is I bought them together. I think on the first day they went on sale.

Good looking hand select pick from Classic, Bob! You did great on this one. This is one that I'd definitely be happy with after playing the lottery. I wouldn't sweat the non-matching gas piston. As to the staking on the bayonet, I'd be surprised if the bayonet had never been off the rifle in 49 years. Is it the original screw? Could be, but it's close enough to sure be happy with it, regardless. Overall, a great Chinese Type 56 for your collection!

Sorry for bringing up a old topic but I've got to know the answer to these questions: Where does Bob's gun fit in the /26\ progression? According to what I've read its suppose to have a bottom swivel. What am I missing? His gun fits in the 1.5 mil bracket right? 1970?

Year 15 has both bottom and side swivels. Before the latest import batches filled with many year 15 guns, there were simply not enough specimens to know what swivels might have been on the original stocks. Now that we have good data, it’s clear they used both through the build in year 15. I hope to update some of the stickeys at some point before the end of the year.  thumb1
