I just purchased my first SKS from Classic's latest batch.  I'm a huge geek so the first thing I wanted to do is learn as much as I could about its history -- and that's how I found this fantastic place.  Thanks to the amazing trove of information you have compiled over the years, I know that my Jianshe Factory /26\ rifle was made in 1967 (12M serial number) and when each of its attributes debuted and/or were changed throughout production.  I'm stoked to be a part of the group and look forward to exchanging information.

I forsee another addiction...

Welcome from Arizona.
You lucked out and found the very best SKS site.

It's easy to geek out on these rifles.
You will, of course, need every accessory.....then another rifle.

And another.

And another......

Welcome from SW Missouri! Great to have you join us!

Nah, don't worry about those enabler guys. They would never tempt you with pictures or encourage you to buy another SKS, for any reason. Nope. 'Cause, 'ya don't need no freakin' reason. It's an SKS! They're crazy cool to research and tend to make a guy want more. And more. And more... ???  Not that I would know.  chuckles1
