These seem interesting compared to their previous offerings.

It appears as if they are import stamped on the left side of the receiver....and the one that was Clint's 'pretty boy' pick that already sold for an extra $100 also had an inverted takedown lever and stock....

They are also considerably cheaper....already.

very tempting, don't look bad.  thumb1
ARMY NAM VET, SO PROUD!

Yeah, nice to see them come off that $400 level.  Competition is a good thing!  thumb1

It would be fun to be one of the guys digging into that big box for the first time.
I really don't like their "best of ten, luck of the draw" hand select option.

I got my Beretta M81 from them. I didn't opt for hand select after reading the reviews on the subject, but I got a pretty decent one. A buddy got a near mint piece without using it either.

I threw one in the cart... +Hand select with tax and shipping $400.

Based on just the video, these certainly seem to be in better shape than previous offerings. Maybe they found a climate-controlled bunker in Albania.

I think that the hand select is definitely a racket, and that charging an additional $100 for a "pretty boy" rifle is a bit much, but someone out there clearly thinks differently.

That price point is tempting...

This batch appear to have the importer stamp on the right side of the receiver just under the dust cover. I wonder who imported them? As mentioned already, they look to be in better condition and packaged different that previous batches.

PW Arms most likely.

I saw that spring like front sling attachment on one of them, and at least 1 side swivel.

Ouch!  $63.00 for a firearms transfer?  Luckily the ffl I deal with only charges $20 for a transfer and $10 for each additional one after the first if transferring more than one at the same time.

$360 to my door after WA sales tax and shipping all the way across the country for the non-matching $300 version. Not a terrible price these days, but I don't need a non-matching mid to late 1960s Sino-banian at that price.

$344 to my door after NE sales tax and shipping only half way across the country. I don't need to itch that scratch either.

$344.09 to my door and I'm just a hair over 4 hours away. I'll find another vendor and pay more to scratch my itch when it arises. thumb1 :)
I'm going to make him an offer he can't refuse......

They have better prices than RTI who values their "truly hand selected" @ $549.99!!!   :o  (I lie, it's the VZ52s that were 'truly hand selected" ... the type 56s are just run of the mill Sino-Banians that they hand select the best out of 10)

Also, did anyone else get the "More Rifles from Africa" email blast from RTI lately?

I wonder what African country these are coming from, I'd guess Ethiopia based on the Mausers they got in, but who knows.  Might be there's a good source of Chinese type 56s there waiting to come in as well as the Hakims, VZ52s and K98s.   thumb1

Yes, I believe this entire stash came from Ethiopia but I don't have an inside connection at RTI or any such first hand source of information.

Direct Connection

Ill hold out for the 199.00 cracked stock special if I get to the email fast enough. If we all hold out these prices might drop out of the sky the way things are going.
