Chinese SKS Survey

What happened to the survey? I see the solicitation for it on the home page but when you click on the link the webpage says it's full or something.Is the program all done?Or is there more info being gathered still?Just curious.There are many arsenal stamps that don't have much info still.

I do not know the current status of the most recent survey for the chinese sks.

But I can 100% confirm that there is a fairly in depth archive of serial data for all of the known arsenal stamps and/or designations.

However, fourm members must attain a minimum of 100 forum posts in order to gain access to those data. I believe another lesser known option is to contribute monetarily to site maintenance which will gain you access without the minimum post requirement.

Thanks for pointing that out. I imagine RM knows what's going on, or soon will. The screen shot suggests to me that we've hit a pay wall based on memory required or number of entries.

Donation icon is on the line where Home, Search, Profile, etc. is. Varying amounts are following once you hit the icon. It also has a link to PayPal if you want to donate that way.  Cheers, Bruce.

Jotform (the site that hosts the survey) has greatly restricted free accounts. They used to be quite useable, but now they are severely limiting the number of surveys, number of views, number of responses, size of responses, etc.

I'll go clear the cache and see which of the quotas is giving us problems. Typically they send me an email warning but I didn't see one this time. 

As far as donations here, we will never turn down support, but $ donations are not required to enjoy or use the site.  You can achieve the exact same permissions here by simply being a good contributing member (unlike other boards where they shake you down yearly for $$ and if you don't pay you basically can't do much of anything, can't go to member boards, can't even click on member names to PM them).

A donation here will, however, grant you immediate access to the members clubhouse (long before the ~100 posts required to get in the hard way) and will never expire. The one thing a donation will not do is grant you immediate access to the serial data boards.  Those boards are only accessible to 'contributing' members who have achieved rifleman status or above. This is in place to prevent the fly-by-night guys who would come in, chuck a $5 bill into the kitty, and then leave with 6+ years worth of our work without having contributed any useful discussion to the boards.

I donated just because I appreciate all the work you guys have and still do put into the site to keep it running. I would've done it early but I never saw that tab. I move at to fast a pace sometimes and miss the obvious.
