I've been lurking for a bit, and have all of you to thank for my first purchase. I've wanted an SKS for years, and recently purchased one from Classic Firearms.

I've already learned a ton of information about it from this forum, and wanted to thank all of you, introduce myself, and hopefully contribute something new. I'll post up some pictures as soon as I can.

Welcome to the SKS-Files! As you have already discovered, there's a wealth of info here! And we're always looking for more data, so feel free to start posting threads on your Type 56 specimens.

And, yeah, there are "enablers" in every corner here.    The SKS does most of the influencing on wanting more, though.  Subsequent purchases are "normal".
