Perhaps he left the screws that way so you could adjust it yourself. That would be the entire point of having an adjustable trigger, wouldn't it?

It's bump firing with a solid mount stock and a firm trigger grip and follow through?   ???  :o

Yeah I know how to shoot an ak.  Been shooting them for years.  I reckon the set screws on the red star arms trigger were not loctited by dude that built it.

Okay, I didn’t know that. When troubleshooting, start with the most basic and inexpensive solutions  thumb1

Greasemonkey

I have the same trigger in my PSL... straight from the instructions, it says.........

I have successfully installed and adjusted my trigger.  My gun is now double tapping, or the hammer is following the bolt on live fire,
what should I do
?
When adjusting the disconnector adjustment screw, it is important to allow for sufficient engagement of the hammer.  Adjusting
so that the hammer will not be engaged by the disconnector will NOT result in full auto fire.  Rather, it will result in a dangerous condition where the
hammer follows the bolt and occasionally sets off a second round. Most commonly hammer follow will only dimple the primer and force you to
recharge the bolt.  Proper disconnector engagement of the hammer is critical for proper function of your trigger group.

It's not a seriously over complicated thing to fix, unless one just likes to drive that far. When you get it where you want it set to, stake the screws.
I'm going to make him an offer he can't refuse......

Leave the gun, take the cannoli.

I said I was an addict........I didn't say I had a problem

No I told him to adjust it to 4.5 pounds single stage and then loctite the screws.

I prefer MABA... Make Alexandria Bartend Again.  :P

The dude readjusted the trigger and reloctited everything. It's worked flawlessly since.
