Hello!
Its hard to introduce ourselves differently, there is so much posts 😅
Im a 35 years old guy, always been around firearms but possessing some is new form few months! I started with a mossberg 500, 3 barrells (planning to hunt dear) and soon turkey! So will be new hunter also!  I went testing my shotgun at the range for the slugs.. oh god, bad idea for a beginner! That thing recoil hard!
I got handed an old squires bingham .22lr by my father . That one got me left wanting more. So i went SKS. Been lurking around them a few months. Then i went to the gun shop in my city. They let me choose the sks i wanted in their inventory.
I got lucky i think. I got a 1951 tula. All matching numbers but been trough refurbish without any change! Have a kind of (db) stamp on the stock. So i been to the range with it. I loved that thing. Then i went back to the store and bought a second one. (Theres a treat of removing access to semis here in canada) the second one is a 1950 tula. All matching but the magasine cover. And stock in better shape than my first one. However it wear refurb markings.  Next plan is to try it at the range. And maybe giva a try to the bulk surplus. Strange thing is that my 1950 isnt looking like my 1951. The 50 has mat finish, bayonet is silver and sandblasted finish. It wasnt in cosmoline at all. Was all dry.. making me wonder what i got ☺️

Welcome from Washington! Glad to have you aboard. Nice pair of SKS-45s! We'd love to see more pics of them on the Russian SKS sub-forum. 1950's are scarce down in The States.

Hello and welcome from the Arizona desert!

That's a beautiful start to a fantastic collection you have there.

51 and 50 have only minors differences,
The 50 have the spring on the firing pin, the fore stock is a bit thinner, so you touch more of the bayonet when you hand it. My 50 has been refurbished so it been bbq painted and stock smoothed, it look less damaged than my 51! However i like my 51 a little bit more. Better grip, blued metal, if all the shellac would be there it would look amazing! It shoots very well! Both arent chromed barrel!
I like them both, it would be a hard choice!

Hello and welcome!

Good choice on the Mossberg. I love my old 500. A real pleasure to shoot.

I'd love to see a photo or two of your 22lr. I'm not familiar with it.

Have a great day!
