I just want to get a replacement ring mounted somehow. But I'n not interested in marring the swivel base in order to do so.
I  fully intend to hunt down an authentic Albanina sling, oiler and capsule.

  I think I have a sling mount for your Alby. It came off a '71 Alby that I have since sold. The side sling mount is identical to the '69 and probably all Alby's, not sure on that? It's got about the same patina as your rifle's finish. Other than the loss of finish, it's in great condition. Send me a PM me if you're interested.

  I don't have the sling or oil bottle you need, though.

I'm still in a bit of shock at how lucky I got that no one else bid. Not quite like getting a NK sks for $350 BIN (listed as Chinese, true story).

Thanks for the offer. As it turns out I already have two Chinese side  sling mounts i had forgotten I had, that I picked up from SARCO a few years back.

My intention is to keep the base plate in place, and somehow mount just the ring. The screws and base are unmolested, so I'd like to keep them in place and unmarred.
