I don’t know anything about these but it looks like a winner. Cartouche remains, nice aged oil finish on the walnut. Beautiful rifle. Do you have to reload black powder for these or are .45-70 cartridges still made?

I have several other newer 45-70,s that I shoot, for this one I will only shoot cast 405 gr bullets with a light smoke less safe load, .460 diamater 405gr bullet at 1200 fps.
