Are there any?  ???

I took a gamble getting the front sight to go with the aperture sight that came on the '49....despite reading about the problem I have in reviews....

The sucker is loose as hell when tightened, and if I insert a washer onto the screw, it pulls it to one side. I sure could use some tips if anyone has any to lend.

The only thing I can think of is tape to thicken it up...but I don't want melted goop either...which I am sure would happen.  I could perhaps go into the crawlspace and see if there is any metal tape being used and perhaps liberate some for the experiment...but I am not even sure there is any down there. Plus it is rocky as hell, and my knees are already scabbed up from a nighttime collision with an end table I forgot I left in the hallway.  I fell down and went boom.  :( rofl2

I have tried this on several other FSBs I have laying around and the same result happened or it wouldn't go in at all.....I dunno what they had as a model to base this part on...but it was sure different than any I have, It is too thick for Russian and too thin for Chinese....I guess someone in engineering figured a happy medium would work?!  Friggin' geniuses....

SOSKS!
