Picked up this sling recently....mustard in color...no stamps.....has a much wider leather tab base than I have ever seen before......anyone ever see one like this?

What's different about that sling? I'm no sling expert, but that one looks just like every early Chinese sling I have.

Its tapered.  Much wider one one end.
