That poor carbine has lived a pretty rough life. As much heat as they generated to lay that thick of a bead on, I'd pass on this one altogether unless the rest of the conponents were in tip top shape and the price didn't pass three digits. Some of these bubba jobs are just painful to look at.

Hey... Just cut it til the mag lip clears and build up the bottom with a weld to creat the receiving cavity.
