Phosphorus32 came across this obituary this morning.  We are pretty sure it's our 'carls sks' as multiple unique data points all converge towards him.  He has not been active on our site since November 21, 2021 which coincides with the November 24, 2021 death date in the obituary.

Carl registered for this site way back in early 2015, so he had been with us for almost the entire life of the site.  He always had a cheerful comment for any topic.  I remember him as a very prolific poster here and am terribly sad to see him gone.  RIP my friend & my prayers go out for the wife and family he left behind.

I think I bought a Paratrooper from him early on. RIP Carl, PAX

Will miss seeing carls posts ….

Very sad, I am sorry to here and pray for his family over their loss.
My Avatar is a pic of the real "Ghost" SKS in honor of xxxsks(joe). It is a pic of a fully decked out SKS in Capco hunter's kit. This was mine, the only other pic I had ever seen of one was Joe's.

The bits and pieces I discussed with him, he was a very upstanding man. Pretty much lives over the mountain from me, I always told him, when I hit Culpeper he was getting a visit from GM and a hand shake, he said bring it on pretty much.   Sorry I missed ya brother.. RIP!
I'm going to make him an offer he can't refuse......

Leave the gun, take the cannoli.

I said I was an addict........I didn't say I had a problem

He served his country in Vietnam and it sounds like he served his family well too. Carl always had something positive to say on people’s posts and he’ll be missed.

1776 will commence again if you try to take our firearms... It doesn't matter how many Lenins you get out on the street begging for them to be taken.

You always wonder what happened when someone stops posting.  Sorry to hear about Carl.
