Russian SKS45s are the most sought after on the market right now.  In my opinion they will never be "rare", but they do get expensive, especially for low productions years, as-issued guns, or Izhevsk arsenal.

• 618352506   Rare NON-REFURB Russian SKS 1952r Tula #s matching   48   $905.00    1952   Tula   As-Issued   Good   ЗK351   "I was going to take umbrage with the ""non-refurb"" part of the item title, but the seller does give a reasonably good explanation in his text: "While I cannot 100% guarantee that it has never been refurbished / re-arsenaled at some point in its life (such a guarantee would be impossible for any imported Russian SKS) all evidence suggests that it has not been:"
  Unfortunately he follows that atta-boy with an aww-shucks of: "- Inspection stamps still clearly visible around crossbolt on stock: this stock has never been sanded down and refinished."  That stock has had an extra layer of shellac slathered on it, look at the valleys of all the stamps. It just has.  Still a nice gun.  $800 to $900 seems to be the going price for a nice clean as-issued gun.
