Is this /416\ PS carbine imported by KFS a normal SN range? I haven't seen the 1 million KFS imported PS guns before. Seems like most were the 17-18 million range? Of course, there's a lot of SKS info I haven't seen yet.    Just curious.

You're right in this 16 prefixed gun has quite a low S/N.  Most of the other PS marked /416\ guns are in the 17 and 18 ranges.  I think in this case the millions don't matter as the 17's all seem to be 7 digit numbers: Y,YXX,XXX yet the 18's are 8 digit: YY,XXX,XXX.  Under the old dating system that is an absolute showstopper, but as we have learned the Chinese didn't use the millions placeholder consistently, it's the first one or two digits that matter only.


I'll get the 40 or 50 guns from this month's survey entered into the S/N registry soon. 


That /?5\ is quite a nice one.  I don't know $582 nice, but nice nonetheless!
