Here is the 2015 total for Commercial Chinese SKS sales on Gunbroker.  We only started really tracking the commercial guns in detail back in August, so the data run is a bit short compared to the other flavors that I'd been tracking since March, 2015.

152 guns over a 5 month period extrapolates to ~365 guns per year.  the avg commercial gun sold for ~$500, though this is really comparing apples to oranges as you can't really make a comparison between an SKS D and a NA Farmer's Friend.

One thing we can see is the # sold of the various flavors and their average price:
  • 45 Paratroopers @ ~$425 ea.
  • 27 SKS Ms @ ~$580 ea.
  • 25 SKS Sporters @ ~$555 ea.
  • 12 SKS Ds @ ~$670 ea.
  • 7 K-Sports Paratrooper Hunters @ ~$330 ea.
  • 6 SKSS @ ~$440 ea.
  • 5 SKS 63 @ ~$500 ea.
  • 5 K-Sports Hunters @ ~$365 ea.
  • 3 Polytech Hunters @ ~$645 ea.
  • 3 NA Cowboy's Companion @ ~$470 ea.
  • 2 Chinese Honor Guards @ ~$800 ea.
  • 2 SKS MC-5Ds @ ~$460 ea.
  • 2 SKS NR @ ~$530 ea.
  • 2 NA Paratrooper w Rail @ ~$320 ea.
  • 1 SKS 93 @ $625
  • 1 NA Farmer's Friend @ $850 ea.
  • 1 K-Sports Composite @ ~$300 ea.
  • 1 Clayco M8 @ $422 ea.

I broke out the AK magazine guns as well as the paratroopers into their own lines.  The data is pretty clean actually, I was surprised the numbers generally track the same.  The trend for the commercial avg. price is positive with a $6.82 increase per month on the entire data set.  I'm sure some of the more desirable flavors rise and others fall.

It looks like the "as-issued" D's are holding their own on value! And the highest price on any was the D at $1,099.00.  dance2 dance2 dance2
