GT back in stock in smaller quantities:

100 round lot - 7.62x39 FMJ BT Golden Tiger 124 grain Russian Ammo - Limit 10 | SGAmmo.com

Shipping for 10 lots of 100 is $22 making this about $5 more expensive than if you have gotten a case when they had them.

I almost pulled the trigger on 1000 rounds of GT from SG Ammo last night...then I logged into "The Files" and got distracted by the M59s at Dan's...Yugomania!  The old more ammo vs. more firearms conundrum  ???

OMG - same here.  I went with the M59.  I have put that off for too long.

I think the golden tiger allure is the boat-tail?

1776 will commence again if you try to take our firearms... It doesn't matter how many Lenins you get out on the street begging for them to be taken.

Probably so LC, couple with the fact it is visibly sealed at the case mouth and primer pocket. A big selling point to "preppers" that store ammo.

I still have a box of GT sent to me by running-man, I'm going to give it a spin this weekend in one of my Chinese carbines and see how it does. I was disappointed that my Russian didn't throw it very straight.

I have Wolf and one or two others that are boattailed.  I'd say it's more so the manufacture and it's consistancy. For low buck bargain commie ammo, it's pretty clean also, not sooty.

Wolf black box HP, also.have some FMJ.

I'm going to make him an offer he can't refuse......

Leave the gun, take the cannoli.

I said I was an addict........I didn't say I had a problem

It is consistently good ammo and the price is right.  Nothing super magical about it, but the only thing near that price is Wolf ammo.  Have you compared prices lately?  Amazing jump in prices every month.  Even silver bear ammo is a lot more expensive than GT.

In the past two years, I have seen 7.62x54R almost doubling in price.

Good ammo, good price.  And, like M67, it has good resale value during a panic.

Name recognition and reputation for consistency are the two things that draw people to it.  I honestly don't see it head and shoulders above the Barnaul bear flavors, but it's certainly at the upper end of steel cased imports.

At 23.5 cents a round it's cheap and it's not Tulammo.  thumb1
